  1. Why do I need to register on this site to log in?
    • This is intentionally a smaller, community-style website rather than a heavily promoted public site. Most visitors arrive through personal referrals and word of mouth.
  2. I don’t want to give out any private details to see your site?
    • You don’t need to. The only thing that is asked of you is your email address, and a created username of your choice.
    • You are welcome to choose a username that does not reveal your real identity.
    • Your username will follow you in future blogs and no one will ever see your email address provided to register.
  3. I cannot see this website well on my phone or tablet?
    • For the best experience, this website should currently be accessed from a desktop or laptop computer.
  4. What happens after I submit a blog post or question?
    • All blog submissions are reviewed by the site moderator before publication and response.
  5. Why was my blog submission not published??
    • Spam, abusive, or inappropriate submissions may be automatically filtered or rejected before publication.
  6. When I post something to Blogs, why don’t I see it immediately?
    • This is a moderated Blog website.
    • Once approved by the moderator, it will become public.
  7. Why do I get logged out after 45 minutes of activity?
    • Automatic logout helps improve both security and server performance.
  8. Many of the pictures appear too small on the screen?
    • Most images can be enlarged by clicking or tapping on them.
  9. Is there a way to quickly get back to the top of a page after scrolling down to the bottom of one?
    • Yes, there is an up arrow on the bottom right hand side of every page that will take you right back to the top.
  10. What do I do, if I forget my password?
    • Go into Member Log In and then under the LOG IN button depress the Forgot your password?.
    • That will take you to a screen asking you for the Email Address of the password which you forgot. Enter in your email address, then depress the Get New Password button.
    • That will take you to a screen stating “Check your email for the confirmation link, then visit the login page.”
    • Go to your email, you will see a new Password Reset Request email. Depress the Reset Your Password button in the email.
    • You will be brought to a new screen “Enter your new password below or generate one.”
    • The form will show that “The password should be at least twelve characters long.”, yet 8 characters will suffice for this website.
    • Enter in your new password and depress Save Password.
    • You will then be taken back to the homepage whereby you may go to Member Log In to sign back in.
  11. The top menu structure is is too long and shows up as two lines on my computer?
    • In Windows 11 this is a display settings issue that can typically be made rapidly without you needing to physically change them.
    • The bottom option in this list will resolve most of these issues.
    • Ctrl + Plus (+): This shortcut zooms in, making content larger.
    • Ctrl + Minus (-): This shortcut zooms out, making content smaller.
